Once, there was a young filly who surpassed all others mortals in her beauty. Time has faded the lass' name, but it is not relevant to the story. This exquisite maiden caught the attention of two of the gods, who continuously sought her favor. Though she loved both gods, the filly chose Messieh (Mess-ah) over Belial. Belial left scorned, and bitter vowing to wreak revenge on the filly and her lover.
As is the way of the gods, soon Messieh tired of the mortal filly ans sought other company. However, unknown to him, the filly had conceived and now carried his seed within her. In due course, the foal was born: a white filly more beautiful than her mother and half-goddess. The alabaster foal was christened Asha by her dam.
When Asha was 4 years of age, a handsome stallion approached her while she was drinking from the stream. He appeared to be injured and in need of care. Asha, a healer by trade, gave the stallion aid, and offered to escort him to the woods, where he could rest undisturbed. It was within the darkness of the woods that the stallion, Belial raped the only daughter of the filly and her god-lover. This deed broke the mind and spirit of the once beautiful Asha who had once been kindhearted and generous. One night, during a great storm the pangs of birth seized Asha and after a difficult birth that rendered her unable to bear further offspring, the ivory mare delivered her bairn. In her crazed state, Asha abandoned her foal, never to be hear from again. Some say she ran off a cliff during the storm, other say she joined hells forces, but no one is certain.
A kindly mage happened across the newborn flicka, and took her to raise as his own. The mage named Savador called his charge Jovi which is "lovely one" in the tongue of the Maggi. It was Savador, who was favored by the gods for his kind heart and knowing mind, that convinced the gods that in order to right the wrongs of the other deities, Jovi must be made into an goddess.
Jovi is the goddess of beauty, love, truth, and youth. Her beauty is such that all her surroundings dim as she passes by. Her gift is healing as was her dam's before her, but to touch her with malice in one's heart is to bring swift death to oneself.
Her earthly form is that of a youthful chestnut filly, with the lavender eyes of a seer. Her constant companion is the demigod Bonnh who always appears as a silver fox.
Her offering of choice is lavendar and oldspice.
